I live in the Anthem AZ area and was wondering if anyone knows the nuptial flight schedules of that area or surrounding area. I would also wish to know what species are flying so I can do my research and can be best prepared to house them.

I live in Tempe, AZ and I am in the process of trying to find out this same information. Trying to catch some different queens and hopefully start a successful colony. Right now I will take any kind of queen I can find and catch.

Just seen some Camponotus queens today. Only caught 1 as of now because I didn't have the proper storage of multiple queens. Racing home to get more snap caps. I live in Tempe

Samoril217, where in Tempe did you find Camponotus? I am new to ant keeping and looking for my first queen. Camponotus and Tetramorium are the ones I am shooting for. Searched for 2 days so far and have not seen much ant activity in general in my neighborhood or at Papago Park.
