nuptial flights Darwin, Australia
With the recent rains today, I have noticed that many colonies have been starting to fly or may start flying. I have seen many drones/winged queens of these species, Odontomachus (trap jaw ants), opisthopsis (strobe ants), Iridomyrmex purpureus (meat ants) And along with some small species of ants. Good luck to anyone trying to catch queen ants.
