California socal area nuptial flight schedule?
Looking to find my first queen ant in or near the los angeles area, I would love to know the schedule of the area and perhaps be pointed towards the right direction of where I can maybe find some.

If this is your first, I would recommend looking for Tetramorium. I am not certain if it is still ongoing in SoCal but in general, look for queens in the early morning or late afternoon. I have had good luck finding a good number in those time frames.
Solenopsis (fire ants) are currently going through their nuptial flights as of now, I would stay clear of those as they are quite aggressive and are more for those who have more experience in ant keeping (not good for first timers) unless you want a challenge.
There are a number of GAN Farmers in SoCal as well incase you may not be so lucky in finding any.
Good luck out there.
