Re: NEW ENGLAND (ME-VT-NH-CT-MA-RI) Nuptial Flights
We caught another one at 2020-05-30 13:00 EST in Bristol County, MA.
She was hanging out in the foyer of our building and was lucky she didn't get squished by someone.
She crawled right into a container and right into her test tube.
She must have been very thirsty because she went right to the water cotton and has been face first in it since she crawled in.
I put her in a quiet dark area of a closet so she won't be disturbed and will check on her sporadically over the next few days.

So I have been learning so much about ants, there behaviors, what they eat, how to care for them and so so much more. Good thing we have the internet to research through. Through My research I have found these websites that have valuable information on many different topics. You do have do do a little searching for what you are looking for, but once you do it is worth it. This site is the Bug Guide, Good for bugs in the America and Canada areas https://bugguide.net/ . This one is for AntWiki and is much like its relative the true wiki. This site has a large amount of information on care and information on most species of ants https://www.antwiki.org/
Hope this helps someone

There’s been lots of rain in Boston the last couple days. Anyone expecting flights soon? And is it too wet right now to go out searching?

I too will also be following this for next Spring. I'm in MA and just starting to learn about this!
