I decided to go look at queen ants. I already had many, so I was not catching. I walked about 12 houses, then came back, and in all I saw 13 Tetramorium Sp. E queens. Aka Pavement ants. Next, I saw a nest of camponotus, queens were coming out of the entrances, and males from other nests were there to meet them. (Though some of the workers were killing males that landed at the nest.)
Btw, I live in North America.
Happy catching.

Nice. But shame the workers killed some of the male alates. :/
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
