i found out the reason she died it is because my crematogastor queen died the same way so i assume i was making an ant oven

This journal is not over yet! It is to my surprise that 5 Camponotus queen were found while walking today!!!! ID ing them right now

2 of the queens are Pennsylvanicus! the other three are Camponotus novaeboracensis

also fun fact the queen that just died was Camponotus novaeboracensis all along who new! :lol: :cry:

Queen #1
colony name = the black yeti's

Queen #2
colony name = The Saxons

Queen #3
colony name = the black gi-ants

Update!!
I see some eggs and most of the queens are healthy and laying eggs
Queen #1 the black yeti
she has a nice clutch of about 5 eggs
Queen #2 The saxon
again 5 eggs
Queen #3 The Gi-ant
Sadly this giant ant has no eggs and has been struggling to get out since she got in the tube. I'm going to keep her but it looks bleak.

Update!
not much has happend but the eggs have started to hatch into larvae!!

sadly the queen Gi-ant is most likely infertile. she has not laid eggs and has not shed her wings and will not stop trying to escape.

should i release her or not?
