its hard to say whats going wrong. can the workers get to the water source easily? it seems quite high. good luck!

Worst news ever.
I checked on the queen ant and she was dead. I failed her.

I ordered the AC portal and test tubes packs that i was going to move her into. Too little too late.

Not the best experience for the first attempt at ant keeping. I guess I'll have the right gear for the 2nd attempt.

Such a shame. :( Considering her workers keep dying, she may of had a disease. And don’t be too sad about the death, you’ve learned a lot and given her a good shot a life. Hopefully you’ll be able to catch some of the Iridomyrmex that fly during winter, otherwise the next flight will occur late october. RIP and better luck next time.

i always think when my queens die that they have a 1/1000 chance outside. when we catch then they have like a 1/7 chance to live a long life
