My colony is still in hibernation. I don't know if I should be feeding them or not though.
They generally wont accept food during hibernation.
Yeah the thing is, the GAN farmer I bought them from told me to feed them twice a month during hibernation.

You could try to give them food if you want. Don't be surprised if they don't take it

I think that keeping them in hibernation is a good idea and I agree with what the GAN farmer said about food because they might get hungry(you never know)
BTW. I think your formacarium is AWESOME!
Keep posting in your journal because I'm Keeping the same ants and your journal helps me learn about other's problems!

They haven't done anything in almost a week, but they are still alive and well in the nest. I think that they have a longer diapause period. What's wierd is that they ate the big larva, so I honestly thought they were out of it. I'll just let them be, the GAN farmer that I got them from hibernates his at room temperature, and has quite a few success camponotus colonies. They should be coming out soon though, so I'll update it shortly.

Unfortunately four workers died, I think from formic acid, because I had to move them since they left a cricket inside and it was molding and nearly got to them. This probably caused then to step in their own acid. Good news is queen seems healthy and she is moving towards the heating cable, along with her two workers. I think she should lay eggs soon, otherwise she wouldn't go towards the heat. The two workers are doing fine now, and I moved them to Nurbs ants pencil box formicarium, he's on formiculture. They seem happy, so I hope they will recover. All my other colonies are continuing to grow, so I am sure it wasn't Pesticides or anything because I feed them the exact same things and they are right next to each other. Pics next update

I'm curious to see how this colony is doing now that we're getting into the summer months.
