Alright, I wasn't sure what kind of Tetramorium there are in south Asia. Pheidole matches pretty well too now that I think about it.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 10:14 pmShe looks like Pheidole to me, could you get some more angles perhaps? She does not look like any Tetramorium I've ever seen.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Okay i physically can't get better photos than this now.
(The macro ones aren't good but i still added them cuz some of them showed clear photos or jaws and stuff so maybe that could help id)
I think tetramorium cuz she has those little "spikes" on her thorax which i saw all tetra queens have

Re: Another! My queen ant journal
Well, some of thise pictures just reinforced my belief that that's a Pheidole queen. The side shot just did it for me. I was origunally split between Crematogastet and Pheidole, but now I believe she's Pheidole 100%.Antloverhuman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 8:36 amhttps://photos.app.goo.gl/Teq4JF2L2PFFssZB9

Re: Another! My queen ant journal
Once workers come could you send a picture of them? That should show us which genus they are, as Tetramorium workers have a rougher texture than Pheidole. Or if you notice polymorphism (only Pheidole is polymorphic).

Actually after doing some closer looking, based on the body shape, I am starting to think Pheidole, as well. Worker photos would still be nice to verify though.
