Thanks for the advice but it is kind of funny I have tried to dump them in the past but they must be good climbers or something because they really hold on lol.

True! The queens in my experience aren’t as good climbers.

I resorted to moving my Crematogaster colony with a paintbrush instead of dumping them. It wasn’t fun but I didn’t have more than a casualties. I’d tried removing the water source and they still refused to move into a new test tube they just chilled in the outworld.

Until you blow on them… then they look for a place safe of the “intense wind.” That brings a thought to me. In extreme winds of 15 mph, do ants just get blown around xD? :D

Lol! Teach me the ways. I swear my colony would desiccate and die rather than move on their own.

Brave ants xD. Works for me with mine… so does insanely bright light :) My queen is faster than workers if I shine a light on her. She runs and the workers try to catch up.

Well my fire ants once completly sealed their test tube with dirt I gave them I broke it and queens came out and I was questioning why I broke it lol.

Funny stories, On sunday I tried dumping the queen and she went suprisingly easy just kinda rolled lol. I think only one casulty tho it might have been dead before. I dumped the workers in the outworld and 2 days later there are a couple of the in the new test tube the queen is hiding under the tube in a small cavity and like 14 workers are crowded around a *** SPAM *** soaked with sugar water lol.
