The day after i saw the mysterious dead ant on the lid, i re applied the barrier. Again no ants are foraging and no new eggs. Dont know what happened to that batch but i only see a big egg in the mouth of one ant (there were lots in the batch i don't know if i dont spot them or they died). The new queen is refusing food and continuing to tear the cotton apart. Didn't shed wings either. Aw man i was hoping i would become rich but she probably is infertile

Checked on the other queen. No eggs or wings broken. I don't think she's fertile

The queen laid another batch of eggs :D
I fed them honey yesterday so i believe the amount of eggs she lays is directly proportional to how often i feed them honey
They have decided to make their water tt a graveyard

Nothing on the new queen yet. I am 90 percent sure she's infertile

Also im over 1000 posts yoooooo
also why do i already have unit 1 exams this sucks

No progress on the new queen. I think if my colony gets a male alate, i should pair them up, but i don't know whether i should release the queen the next time it rains because she's really eager to get out and theres no way she's fertile

So tell me should i wait a month to see if there's a male alate from the batch of eggs from my colony OR release the queen next time it rains

I might be able to get male alates from my house like last year and pair her with it. Also my colony did have a male alate last year but as soon as it came out of the cocoon the workers killed him and i forgot to post about it here. After that no males have arrived
also class 10th board results are out and i got 90% which might sound great but I'm Indian so anything below 95 is worthless:'(

If you had success with the first option, I would try it again.

HAPPY TWO YEARS ANNIVERSARY!!
Two years ago i got the queen and today she's gotten a big colony. I think i will feed them just some honey or maybe a boiled egg as they aren't really interested in eating. Also im getting owned by real life and am ill again so can't do much to celebrate it :(

I will be leaving for around two weeks to so fed them some chicken and honey (which they didn't eat) and also fed the new queen some honey which she ate so hard she literally pushed her head on it and pushed the foil paper all the way to the cotton. She ate alot of honey and then threw some honey on the ground and continued eating it was so weird
