Gave them lots of sterile soil in the new test tube as i saw one worker pulling at the water cotton on new test tube to use it to absorb more water in their old testtube. Now 4-5 workers seem to just chill in the new test tube. I have no idea why when there ise substrate they rest in the new testtube butaybe they are thinking of moving soon

Now i am going to remove the old test tube when they all settle in nicely.

That's great!! Can't wait for more progress.

HOLYY TITANIC HOW DID I MANAGED THAT!!
Ok so i had made a really bad "ac test tube portal" by myself. To attach that i had to separate the nesting test tube and put the portal in. Now i had put paper on the test tube because the hole in portal for the test tube was the size of rim of testtube. Because of paper i could not see ants and i know that these irritating ants are just on the wrong place at wrong time. Luckily i had a red light from an old rc car remote which i could use to see if ants were there in the entrance. There is always at least one ant the old tube but i didn't really needed to worry about it as it was at the back. So at the right time i removed the tube(cue the epic music). with the instant rush of adrenaline in my body, shaking legs and hands, i quickly put cotton on the test tube. That ant which has still no idea that a test tube portal is attached to its test tube. There are only three holes the portal- two for test tubes and one for vinal tubing. So i attached the other test tube and from the hole of tubing, i pulled the cotton with tweezers. Only then i realized.... THE PAPER ON THE TEST TUBE WASNT PERFECT SIZED!! I pressed the test tube hardest i could to put the paper in. After that i ran to get the glue gun. WELL THE GLUE GUN DIDN'T FRICKIN HAD ENOUGH GLUE TO USE THE TRIGGER! I had to use a paint brush to push glue in the gaps.(dont worry, the paper was just enough in so i put the glue only on the outside to not let the test tube fall out) so everything is going good so far and i noticed that the other part of portal, where the other test tube is had gaps in them. I thought the the ants are too fat to squeeze through so i didn't put glue there. WELL GUESS WHAT? AN ANT JUST GOT OUT OF THAT GAP AND JUST SAID- Sup bro . My adrenaline glands decided to have more fun because why not? Now my legs just burning and me panicking so hard, i told my mom to get the outworld. I decided to blow that ant in there for now. The ant being stubborn finally fell in. I filled the gap with cotton now running back to the glue gun which enough to fill the wjole thing. Now thinking how to get that ant back in, my mom had a genius idea to remove the other test tube and put it in the out world. The ants would gather in it and i can put the test tube back in. Well even though there were now two ants in it, it was easy to remove the test tube and close the tube to which it was connected, with cotton. Now the adventures of trio camponotus began as the lonely sad ant had friends to cause mischief. They all ran, only to find wall which they were unable to scale up, for the baby powder barrier was existing. I waited and waited, till i decided i could probably just pick up the old test rube and just scoob the ants in it. It worked! Now i just had to remove cotton on tube and connect it. It was simple. I also found out that the papr in the other tube was lose, so i also fixed it with glue. All done!! as im writing this, the adrenaline is going out and hopefully tomorrow i can feed them something.

Fed them apples! Well they didn't seem so like it so im gonna remove it tomorrow and also give them some crushed almond as i gave them one termite alate.

If you're feeding them insects that come from the wild, make sure to boil or freeze it first before feeding to your ants.

Yes i catch wild termite alates and freeze them for long long time before giving it to them :D

That reminds me of my first ant colony (Camponotus albosparsus).

I'd like to say (correct me if I'm wrong) that you don't have to freeze or boil termites. They are sensitive to disease/parasites just like ants, so if you catch a healthy termite from outside, all you have to do is crush them like your roaches/mealworms/superworms etc.
