I gave my crematogaster cerasi colony an all in one nest, it is just a small glass tank with lots of hollow banboo, I will place sand in it lather to block the nest entrances so it will only act as an outworld for now. And as it turns out they have more workers than I expected.

By now my colonies are fully out of hibernation. Woke up and saw a wasp in the bamboo nest. The nest has a lid so the wasp is still in there. The colony should be fine for now but I will try to get rid of it lather. Now it would appear that there was a wasp egg or something in one of the bamboo pieces, and it hatched or came out of hibernation.

Wow a wasp showed up lol I haven't heard of this happening frequently! Maybe they will make friends with the colony!
Currently keeping: Camponotus pennsylvanicus colony just moved into an AC hybrid mini. :D

I still have not removed the wasp because it disapeard shortly after the first day I saw it, so it might of died but I am not sure. Also, I am planing on releasing the myrmica alaskensis colony as they are an unpleasant colony to keep (if you know what I mean).

Probably consumed by ants

I am suspecting that the myrmica alaskensis colont might be dead... or at least have lost many numbers. I have not been seeing any activity anywhere. But then again they are a nocturnal species... and I have been seeing the water going down so they must be drinking?

I can see a lot of brood and some big pupae in the camponotus novaeboracensis colony. Expecting a population boom!

Maybe they are producing males? My Odontomachus went on a nuptial flight(In the outworld) due to the correct air pressure, humidity, “wind” speed, and temperature. After the males had their fun hitting the top of the enclosure, they returned to the nest. I will not be releasing males due to the fact they are exotic, but not invasive.

Edit: The colony has 7 workers, not near maturity age.
