Caught the queen two days ago. I have her in a test tube setup in my closet. She moves around often, and looks healthy. I hope she will start a bustling colony of Solenopsis Invicta ants.

Turns out, this queen was a Camponotus decipiens. I did catch two other ACTUAL Solenopsis invicta queens and one of them has already laid at least eight eggs. I got to witness one of them and it was magnificent. I hope the nanitics come soon.
