On August First 2020 I caught this queen. It is a Pogonomyrmex sp. Image At first i did not know if the queen had mated but today i noticed the eggs. No that is not two eggs on top of each other it is an optical illusion. There is a an egg under the queen.

Do y'all think that these are eggs because I am starting to doubt.

The eggs take a while to mature. Just give it time ;)

In my area these ants are native but i have never seen them. About twenty miles away i have seen colonies.

This may be way late, but how often did you check on her? Over stressed queens may eat the eggs they have laid.
