Hi guys! I've made my first journal entry (in the form of a video) for my Camponotus pennsylvanicus colony. They're my favorite local species, so I'm glad I have gotten a chance to keep them.

Nice video! Though it seems like the exposure to light actually has your queen a bit worried? Looks like she's trying to burrow through the cotton wad that keeps the water in. You might actually find the second link in my signature interesting, as we've gathered a group of Camponotus keepers with starting colonies. One of my own colonies is actually a bit further along in its development than yours. It would be nice to exchange experiences!CreeperUniverse wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 11:04 amHi guys! Yeah, she probably wasn't too happy about the light. I usually keep them in a dark shady spot because I wan't to avoid stressing them out. I only really take them out to do checkups and for recording short clips.Hawkeye wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 6:02 pmNice video!
