AntsOhios Prenolopsis imparis

This year I caught my first ever Prenolopsis imparis queen in April after missing them the year before. this ant had always fascinated me by its colors and how early in the year they flew. They are also the Only ant species in Ohio with true repletes pic soon (it already has eggs since I am late posting this journal

Yes, the repletes are very cool! I can't believe they fly so early. . . I always forget to look. Anyway, welcome to the forum; I'm excited for this journal!

Well the first Nanitics have begun too roll in about 6 now will get first meal of honey in 5 days
