Welcome all Europeans (and others)!
This is my second thread for Us European Ant Keepers!
First post was about European NFs and now i’ve Made this one which is pretty much for everything but most important is that this is where we talk about our colonies ‘n queens!
I myswlf have two Lasius niger queens and 2 Formica! All have eggs and some have larvae!
That was pretty much all, hope you can talk much here!

I'm founding 3×Lasius Niger, 2×Lasius Flavus, and 2×Myrmica Rubra (which are semi-claustral). All have eggs. I've looked after all before but currently only have a 3 year old L.Niger colony.

Cool. All my queens have eggs with a few of the Lasius queens having larvae. Both Myrmica queens are coming along nicely (being semi-claustral they can be harder to found).

I have now installed the heating cable for the queens, they seem to like it around 30-29 degrees celsius (around 86 fahrenheit)
Altough the unidentified Lasius queen doesn't seem to be a big fan of the heat.

Does anyone have any previous knowledge or tips on finding and caring for "acorn ants"? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
