Here are some videos first followed by some pictures.
This colony was caught June 23rd, and had her first nantics July 31st. They seem a bit low in numbers and theres a bit of mold in there. I had them on a organic honey diet, with not protein until today, I couldnt find any grass hoppers/crickets outside, so a kibble of dog food and crushed it. I have yet to check on them since to see if they liked it.

Great! I'm uploading pictures as soon as I have a chance (I have to get them from camera and set it up it's a process lol). I may have overexaggerated a bit though
It looked like a lot more at the time but I think there's only about 15. Their test tube got a touch moldy so I'm shining a light to get them to move right now.

Did you mean they have multiple queens? (Sorry I'm not really familiar with the terminology). It's just one queen, and I'm almost certain it's tetramorium, you can check by clicking the link though, it's just a google photos folder.
Yes, polygynous means multiple queens. If you see the ants stinging their food (if it's moving), then they're probably Tetramorium. If they are more shy and timid, and don't bother attacking anything, then they're probably Pheidole.

Those look more like my Pheidole to me. If I recall correctly, Tetramorium are more long and skinny, and they don't have that big of a head.

Those look more like my Pheidole to me. If I recall correctly, Tetramorium are more long and skinny, and they don't have that big of a head.
Well if these are pheidole then I'm one lucky SOB cuz Pheidole are very rare around here in upstate ny

I'll try and get better pictures of them so someone can verify. Would be cool to have some super majors in the colony.
