My camponotus novaeboracenis are not moving trash out of the formicarium setup, they are numbering in the 80-90s and recently the first super major eclosed.
I am concerned about the buildup of trash in the more humid areas of the formicarium, I cant clean it out and I tried to introduce springtails to atleast manage it somewhat but its not working. I am concerned about my colonies health. They also cannibalized on two of their dead workers- is this normal?
There is tons of space in their outworld to put trash, will they move it out on their own eventually?

What is the formicarium setup like? They may be doing just what they do in nature store it in an area and try to block it off, much like they would if the nest was in the wild. The cannibalism is beyond me though..

The formicarium setup is just a normal antscanda formica hybrid nest, very lightly watered, and some sand in one corner that they have been using to block off certain areas
