Okay so I completely forgot to ask you guys what do I do when a queen breaks her wings off in side of a test tube setup? Do i simple remove the wings or is it advised to change the setup?
Research is important before during and even after you have established a colony. There is always time to learn and to listen to others experiences. Live by this and your ants will thrive. Fail to do so and your experience may be brief.

Okay thank you. I was worried it would drastically increase the risk of mold growing in the test tube. She still actually has her wings on.
She was the first of 8 queens caught as she flew into my shopping bag while mating (this is how i knew flights kicked off haha) and she has a pile of eggs so she is still being lazy. I just wanted to know ahead of time.
