Update: She has emerged from her burrow, and she dragged 2 of the sunflower seeds into her nest, and resumed digging, which she has been doing all day, burying some of the seeds in the process, creating a hill of dirt around 3-4mm in height.
3-4cm, not mm.

Sounds good.

@TheRealAntMan I didn't know that. Well in that case I won't feed them cherryseeds anymore then. :/
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Congratulations on the founding of your colony of the pogonomyrmex species. Here is a piece of useful advice. Pogonomyrmex have a very distinct sting that can be very painful so make sure to wear gloves. You probably already knew that but I wanted to say it just in case.
As always, wishing you well on your exciting ant adventure, Ants the Lowcountry.

Yeah, having lived around their mounds for several years I've been made aware of their aggressive behavior on more than one occasion.

Crazy how wierd it is to see how some of my views were in the last. Especially in regards to what seeds I should try. I mean, Mango? Cherry? Oh boy was I wrong and didn't know it at the time. ^^
Little uneducated me. xD
