I caught 18 pogonomyrmex californicus queens yesterday!!!
I didn't have a container for all of them so 9 had to share... I decided to make 3 sets of 3 and house the rest separately... So far, the queens who are in groups seem to be doing much better than the solitary queens. 2 of the groups already started laying eggs!!
I put food in all the set ups. But, only the queens in groups finished off the honey I put in and are are collecting seeds.
I have successfully raised a solitary queen of this species and she is doing fine... But, now i'm thinking...
Should make more groups?????... what do you guys think????
