My ants aren't laying eggs. PLZ HELP!!!

I caught 7 queen ants Iridomyrmex Sp. I think, and I've had them for 3 weeks and only 2 have laid eggs. I'm not sure if 3 weeks is a lot but my last queen laid eggs about 2 weeks after capture. is this normal, or not? I'm in Perth Australia and its mid-autumn. Thnx!

The best thing to do, is to wait for her to lay eggs. If she doesn't lay eggs, she's going to die. What you should ask yourself is: Do you want her to die in the wild, tossed out of her home, or do you want to keep her, so that she might lay eggs, or might die? I've had several wueen that didn't lay eggs for almost 5 months, but they now have larvae (almost pupae) I recommend that you wait it out.
