They're doing well! Really well. Lots of new little white ants.
Sadly the door to the omni nest makes filming near impossible since I can't get my camera close enough for it to focus with that bit of acrylic sticking up.
ANYWAY

I attached a bit of tubing to the entrance so I had a place to put food for them, and they for some reason stopped showing interest in deli meat, and didn't care about a chopped up mealworm at all.

SO

I went to PetSmart and I got these:

Basically hot pink protein gel balls for reptiles.
They're made of mostly protein, so I thought I should give it a try.

And it worked! The ants loved the weird little pink ball. c:
So if you have picky young ants I'd say they're worth giving a try <3

This journal is pretty helpful. I just got a colony of Prenolepis imparis myself but my colony has 5 queens.
