Hibernating Nylanderia spp

So earlier this year I caught a Nylanderia spp queen, and she has thus far done well in founding a colony. If I understand correctly, they originally come from a more tropical area, but are an invasive species here in the Northeastern US. So, seeing as how hibernation season is more or less upon us, I want to make sure that it's safe to hibernate this specific species before I go ahead and do it. If it is, is there anything in particular I need to be mindful of, or can I keep them in hibernation the same way I would other species that are local to this region?
