What's happening?
So I had a second solenopsis ant that's was kept in a butter container, when I moved to my new condo I noticed there was pheidole sp. workers on my balcony where I put my second fire ant colony. A few hours later I think the pheidole ants have killed my fire ant colony (the container was swarming with workers) and have proceeded to remove trash and dig in the old fire ant colony. Are they moving in or just making a satelite colony? Honestly I have no idea what's happening they have been in the containers for 2 days. Is this the right forum to ask this question?

That seems to be happening there was brood being carried in but I have not seen a queen so I don't know if it's an official nest.

Bump^
Re: What's happening?
Phiedole will have satellite nest and because they have multiple queens they will move some into the satellite nest. Just give it time.
Keeping.
