Hibernating ants with plants

What would be a good place to hibernate my ants without killing my plants because there's no light . Would the shed be too cold . Usally it doesn't get very far past freezing where I live and it never gets into the negatives.

Hey I assume you have a natural nest, all plants that experience winter will hibernate, so they will go dormant for the winter. I forgot they did at first also.

But will my shed be ok to hibernate ants . Don't won't to use attic because attic is too dark .

What about the garage? It must at least have better insulation than the shed.

Don't have a garage . I think I can just put them in the attic during the winter because the plants will be dormant . Am I right ?

try using a digital mini fridge or wine cooler

Can the plants survive that ? Also I'll be using at least a 10 gallon aquarium so I don't think that'll fit .

What if you took out the plants and put them in their own pots then when your done hibernating your ants you put them back in their outworld.

Will it hurt the ants to pull the plants out ?
