Pupa and more eggs

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about my Formica queen, I am in south west Ohio and have had my queen for a month now. It looks like I have 3 pupa, 2 of which are ***** and the other in a cocoon. My queen did rip some of the cotton off of her setup for what I assume was nesting material for the brood. I noticed today that the pupa are looking very developed as I can see their eyes and legs very clearly. I am curious on how long ants stay in their pupa stage, and if it may be shorter for the nanitic workers.

I get the feeling that they should be ready to emerge soon because my queen has laid another batch of about 7 eggs, much more than her original 3.

Thanks!

I had the same question I have 3 workers now and it takes around a month and a half (Formica subcerica) to go from egg to worker, to go faster don't bother the queen and keep them in a warmer area
Keeping:
Formica subsericea: 10 workers
Tetramourium Immigrans: 12 workers
solenopsis molesta: 25-30 workers
