Hi i have a small colony of yellow meadowants lasius flavus only around 10-15 workers and 1 queen. They have dug a nest randomly in my ant enclosure, but wont come to the surface to find food i have placed some cotton wool in dipped in sugar water but no ants have been near it i have had the surface watched by a camera for 2 days straight and they havent come to the surface, ive scatters some little mixed seeds and no interest was taken to any of it, some seeds have even started to germinate and im only talking mixed bird seeds. Any idea on how i can feed them or any tips on lasius flavus/yellow meadow ants? Thankyou for your time

They'll be fine. They are probably foraging at night.

I uave an all in one set up the glass top slides on 8 inch squared, it had a cork nest up the side but they wernt interested, i read they dig an build little ant hills but i havent seen a single ant above soil, i can see the nest they are building from the bottom but i try not to disturb them much they are only just settled. Just worried they wont feed i had the camera rolling for 18 hours twice annwent threw it all in fast forward and no ants
