I think I moved my Tetramorium immigrans into a hybrid nest too early, they’re too small for the nest size, and they’re using one of the inner chambers as a garbage dump. It looks a bit moldy.
I glued the glass down with silicone adhesive.
I’m not sure what to do, any advice? Thanks

Re: Ants leaving moldy garbage in their nest
You could try to move them out of the nest and put them in a test tube set up. And then use hot water or something to take off the glass lid, to try to clean the insides of the nest chambers. Or you could just leave the garbage there if its too hard to clean it out because to me it isn't a big problem yet.
