Hello all and thanks for having me. I am hoping that you can help me with my next step. I assume all I can do is wait and see. Let me know what you think? So I caught what I thought was about 50 queens yesterday evening. I got them all collected and into individual test tubes yeah!! After I finished up I got to thinking, How do I know if they had a nuptual flight or not. It would seem that the vast majority of them still have their wings intact and only a few are down to partial or no wings at all. I guess the ones that did not breed are no good or am I wrong in that thinking?

The ones with wings can still me mated. Try waiting atleast a week and if they don't lay eggs they are probably infertile.
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony
