If you don't mind me asking, what country/state are you in?jakew102938 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 11:14 amI didn't see anyone post this topic so I wanted to ask this. Does A Fulva need hibernation and if so, when do they usually hibernate and what is the optimal temperature?
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Do you know what month to start around? I'm also going to be putting them in a makeup cooler so it only gets down to 50F which I don't think should be problem.antperson24 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 7:56 amProbably 3-4 months at around 40 F.jakew102938 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 12:33 pmI reside in Kentuckyantperson24 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 8:10 am

The cooler should be ok. Just put them in when you start to see inactivity in wild ants.jakew102938 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 8:36 pmDo you know what month to start around? I'm also going to be putting them in a makeup cooler so it only gets down to 50F which I don't think should be problem.
