Can you keep Atta Texana? I've heard people say you can but they are difficult to keep. I was wondering because their queens are quite large and the colonies I've seen were numbered in the thousands of lathe ants.

Yes, it is quite difficult to get a colony started from what I heard but some people have done it. And according to someone who keeps leafcutter ants, it's very easy to control their population.

Interesting. I'll have to look into them because I saw a lot of queens this year.

Would the queens be able to fit in an AntsCanada test tube or would I have to buy larger test tubes for them?

Raising leafcutter ants in test tubes is not a good idea, the fungus is susceptible to be attacked by mold and it's not easy move them. Here's a guide to I found about raising leafcutter ants: https://www.formiculture.com/topic/15532-cheetos-ultimate-guide-to-leafcutter-ants%E2%84%A2/
