Crematogaster sp – Hibernation – Do I need to?

Hi there I caught a Crematogaster sp July 31. She now has 10 works and several other brood from Pupae all the way to what appears to be freshly laid eggs. I live in San Diego California where we will have an 80°F day in the dead of winter so to speak. This confuses a lot of plants that are supposed to overwinter and I am wondering if these ants even hibernate in my area. Maybe some of you know? Can I simply provide warmth throughout the winter to prevent them from hibernating like I do my snake? Or is it a necessary process for their lifecycle? Also I am a total noob when it comes to hibernating ants. I don’t doubt that they will probably need to hibernate. So at what point will she stop producing brood? Any information or recommendations you can provide, and the simplest methods for this, would be welcome and appreciated.

in winter, do you usually see ants wandering around? also, I know that you dont have to hibernate your ants for the first year, but after that IDK. I'm assuming you dont there, though, considering its so hot that the ants dont seem to have a reason to.

You will need to hibernate your ants every year.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
