21 queens in a in a test tube
Today I caught 21 brachymyrmex queens since I heard they are polygynous I made two different group 6 In one test tube and 15 in another is it a good idea to have 15 queens all together is it like to many queens at once?

This seems like a bit many for any North American species, but you could still try.SHADOWINGS wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 12:59 pmToday I caught 21 brachymyrmex queens since I heard they are polygynous I made two different group 6 In one test tube and 15 in another is it a good idea to have 15 queens all together is it like to many queens at once?
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

For Brachymyrmex this is okay, but I would separate just because if 2 or 3 die they will all die in a matter of days.(Unless it’s a large tube)antperson24 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 7:22 amThis seems like a bit many for any North American species, but you could still try.SHADOWINGS wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 12:59 pmToday I caught 21 brachymyrmex queens since I heard they are polygynous I made two different group 6 In one test tube and 15 in another is it a good idea to have 15 queens all together is it like to many queens at once?
