Queen problems

Hi all
Just wondering why my lasius niger queen lays blobs of liquid instead of eggs.
This is a concern of mine as they tend to go rancid and I have had to gently persuade her to move

The only thing I can think of, is if she got kind of squished but survived. Someone else might have a more scientific answer, but that's my guess!
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Ok I am pretty certain I didn't squish her but I am all fingers and thumbs so I wouldn't be sure. Also she looks fine

Sometimes eggs will look really weird. Check out Colobopsis impressa eggs, they look like noodles. Could you link a picture?

Wait! I have seen this before! When this happened to me the queen bit the egg to eat it, and it broke but she never ate it and it turned into a mush, and started to mold. Could this be it, or have you seen her lay the goo? Also I have had Lasius before, and these eggs a not natural.

This is a wild guess: Your queen has some sort of parasites that infest the eggs and that’s how they reproduce.
