My newly caught queen is tugging at the water cotton in her test tube setup. What does this mean/could it mean she's semi-claustral? I don't know the species or genus.

It looks like she's spending a lot of energy at it so if there's a way to help her to calm down I certainly want to do it.

What species? Some try to place cotton on the water to lower humidity.

Newly caught queens will usually do that. If you are really concerned, you can give her some substrate and feed her, but You should wait atleast a few days before doing it
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
