Brachymyrmex queen: slow egg development.

I have had a Brachymyrmex queen for a month, and her brood are all still eggs or very small larvae. I have her in a drawer in a proper test tube set up, and check on her 2-3 times a week. Does the brood really take this long? Or is there something I need to be doing differently? (I probably need to check on her less; I'm working on it! :) )
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Yea, they have eggs for a month, but then the larvae develop so fast!! Cocoons take 2-3 weeks to hatch, my queen caught in early march just had nantics.
When you accidentally reply to yourself…

Thanks! I was starting to get nervous.
