Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Haha, sorry my bad. Anyway, I just wanted to ask how you record your ants. If you have to deal with a whole setup, do you move them to a ideal condition for lighting?AntsLuxembourg wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 7:25 amNo that's me.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 6:03 amSYUTEO, you have a ant keeping YouTube channel right?

Do you just use your phone, or have you bought a separate camera and mic?

Easy. If it's a short video, I recorded it with my phone. If it's a long video, it's most likely a setup via OBS and multiple webcams and cameras. I got one USB mikroscope with a build in lighting that I don't even need to turn on very brightly. I connect everything to a PC and just record. When it's dark I turn on some small LED book lights with a **** build in battery. Those are for the other cameras without light.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:55 am

It's been a while and I have moved since my last streams. I might need to start streaming again at some point. ^^

Alright thanks for the info, I might need to invest in a light source for good lighting.AntsLuxembourg wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 2:04 amEasy. If it's a short video, I recorded it with my phone. Doesn't have to be super light. A little light from some LEDs might do already. Also keeps costs low.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 5:39 amAlright thanks for the info, I might need to invest in a light source for good lighting.

Queen Pseudoneoponera Ms. Antenna two:
She is doing really well and man is that larvae big, I knew it was going to get that big and even will grow bigger, but just seeing it. Biggest ant larvae I've seen, she also has a younger larvae and one egg, so looks pretty good.

Do remember that larvae of Pseudoneoponera need substrate to spin cocoons.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 5:47 amQueen Pseudoneoponera Ms. Antenna two:

Thanks for the notice, however she does have substrate in her out world, will she go and grab that or do I need to insert substrate into the test tube?SYUTEO wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 5:59 amDo remember that larvae of Pseudoneoponera need substrate to spin cocoons.JaydenScheepers wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 5:47 amQueen Pseudoneoponera Ms. Antenna two:
