How do I take care of Carpenter Ants?
I caught a carpenter ant queen about a month ago and she is already having larvae (Caught 3 more carpenter ant queens) The larvae are already really big, any recommendations and preparing in advance, I have only one formicarium and it's already used by my pavement ants. Should I buy more right now (Shipping really slow like 2 weeks or more like really slow with delays).
Currently Founding...
Carpenter Ant Queen (Camponotus Pennsylvanicus)6-9 Eggs, 2-3 larva, and 6-10 Workers

Camponotus grow very slowly. Colonies a year old typically only get 20-30 workers. You will have a lot of peaks and falls in population, as nantics die off fairly often.Mohammadmacapundag wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 12:05 amI caught a carpenter ant queen about a month ago and she is already having larvae (Caught 3 more carpenter ant queens) The larvae are already really big, any recommendations and preparing in advance, I have only one formicarium and it's already used by my pavement ants.
