Do you have pictures of it for us? Do you think they are mites?
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Maybe they are a young type of mites or they don't get much light. Some animals have a very pale color due to a lack of light. But in any case we will need to wait for him to provide pictures so we can have a closer look.

I would think this is some sort of mite or mold spore, but I have never seen that on invicta. You can scroll down to the parasite section in the link(I swear why all parasites) If the queen has pupae you might be ok, as you would get workers before it became a problem. Some people claim that with smaller ants, mites can be cleaned off by nanatics.

You have basically two options.
  • You move the queen to a new testtube and try to transfer the eggs
If you move the queen, she will survive for sure or at least has a much higher chance of survival. You can still take your time with the eggs and larvae to move them over. You can use a cotton swap to scoop up the eggs, a thin needle to try and make the eggs stick to the tip or you use tweezers if you have a steady hand.
There are enough ways to try and tackle this option's second step.
  • You use fine and pointy tweezers to try and grab / kill the pink insect / mite to get ride of it.
This might be the better option if you don't want to risk too many eggs and larvae, however it could be that you also destroy eggs and kill larvae by accident.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
