try removing hte alates. THey are virtually useless

Whatever you want. Release, feed, kill, etc.

You should actually keep them in a separate test tube. See if the mites kill the alates or they don't do anything. Don't release them as they have mites which could kill wild ants

yes, well, alates need workers to eat... perhaps get some replete with them too

I'll try keeping some in a seperate test tube along with some workers for quarentine and maybe preserve some in alcohol.
