I've got three solonopsis molesta colonies in their first year and i don't want to feed all of them separately. so should i combine them all ? just two and see how it goes? or keep them separate?
thanks for your input.

Since they are polygynous it might work out, however if you do try to merge the colonies, be aware that it could come to a fight and that you might want to only try 1 colony at a time. Meaning you merge 2 of 3 and if it works out you can try to merge them with the 3rd colony. If could be that it will look like the workers are killing each other or the queen, however it could also be that they are just doing a little bit of toughing which can be normal and then accept the workers.

And just to clarify
This is all at your own risk. I'm sharing my advice, knowledge and ideas here and do not take responsibility if it goes wrong. I will however offer additional advice if needed.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

This may seem like a stupid question but what is a d alate?

I have a prenolepis imparis colony and I have read they are polygynous so if I caught a queen alate this spring does anyone think I will be able to successfully integrate the new queen in?
A prenolepis imparis colony with repletes and a big queen also 10 chickens and 1 annoying brother.

If you do combine them with a alate you should first combine two alates in a test tub, if they try to kill each-other don't do it.
