How can I move an ant colony?

I was wondering that if my ant queen cant get through the tubes of their ant farm, how could I move them to a new nest? Just dump them in the outworld or is there another way?

Would the whole farm they are in now fit in the new one you want to put them in?
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony

This is a hypothetical question. But, lets say that it cannot fit. What do I do in this situation?

You can place the testtube into their outworld or if you really want, you can try to dump the colony from the testtube. But normally queens manage to squeeze through. I also once though my queens couldn't pass through but I was surprised to see my queen running about and through tight holes with her inflated gaster. ;)
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Lets say they are in an ant farm already but I need to move them to a new nest. How can I do this?

Would this theoretical nest have a tube/opening you could conect to the new one?

Putting the tube in the outworld would be fine (assuming the outworld would be big enough to fit it.) Ant colonies sometimes move several dozen feet to their new location.

I must add the following to the answer of antnest8. If you put the tube in the outworld, then please apply a baby powder barrier, otherwise the ants will just escape after they have figured out the route.
