How cold can an Uncle Milton ant farm get?
I am considering putting my ants in the storage room because it suits their hibernation needs, but it might get below freezing here, so how would the ant farm hold up?

Oh the Antfarm will most likely be perfectly fine but the ants inside of it might not. What antspecies is currently inside of it? Can you perhaps put the antfarm inside of your fridge for a stable temperatur?
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

They are Formica subsericea and on another forum someone put their Formica subsericea in the refrigerator for hibernation at and I quote " 20 to 32F or -6.7 to 0C" , and no I cannot put my ants in the refrigerator.

Quick question, what is the highest temperature they can be at for hibernation? I went into the storage room to see what the temperature was and it was a little bit warm.

For hibernation they are recommended to be around 5°C-8°C.
You can have a look here but you need to translate a little.
