Ant Keeping Help
During Nuptial flights, I have been able to acquire 3 ant queens, all of them had brood and have a few workers. That was 4 months ago. Though the colonies are still alive, they do not appear to be in great shape. They have stopped creating more brood and have become stagnant for 2 months now. I have 1 Camponotus subbaratus and 1 Camponotus pennsylvanicus, and 1 unidentified species. I have been feeding them every 1-2 weeks some honey and some cat food. I am still a beginner in ant keeping, and am not sure in what way I can improve their diet or help them to make sure they are healthy. Could someone please give me some advice, I am scared that they will die soon.
Re: Ant Keeping Help
They're not dying, they're just preparing for hibernation.
