Caught an ant alate, new to ant keeping

Hi, I just found an ant alate while watching AC(a coincidence?) And I've put it on a Tupperwear, do I have to put small holes to make the ant breathe? What first things should I do in making it comfortable? I'm from the Philippines and I don't know wether this ant is a queen or not, and I saw another ant alate but it was immediately gone after I went to get another Tupperwear. Please help me, I'm really inspired in taking care of ants

The alate has a decent size head, a big butt, and it still has wings, it is also trying to get out from my Tupperwear. I hope it's a queen

Do you have pictures? We can't properly ID it without pictures.

It keeps saying file too large, whether I crop the image or not. Can I send it via email?

Hard to tell but I assume it's a Solenopsis geminata queen.

Your right, the stripes on the butt is just like it, though it has been spending most of it's time on the edges ever since I've captured it

Now that I've searched google what Solenopsis geminata means, I think I'm gonna have a hard time taking care of fire ants, BUT they are actually very adorable when using macro mod on your cam and looking at them

Is it ok if I just leave them there in a plastic container? I'm scared that maybe they will not be able to breathe and they'll eventually die when I wake up in the morning

Give her a piece of wet tissue or cotton and try to make a small hole in the container that's not big enough for her to fit.
