My first Camponotus catch of the year,
Camponotus Plantas!
I haven’t had a lot of time to look at night, but I found her crawling under a door when it was raining!

Hmm, I didn’t know this thread existed
I recently caught a Camponotus Vicinus queen I was on a walking trail and I saw her just running around on the ground so I took her home I think the weirdest thing is it didn’t rain. She has three eggs now. I’m also raising three Camponotus Sansabeanus queens I found around 3mo ago. Does this make me a part of the camponotus crew?

I have a c. Novaeboracensis. They are one year and 14 days old. So for they have about just over seventy workers. According to AntsCanada that’s about average for a colony of camponotus this old. I hope one day for it to have massive super majors a nuptial flight. I have also just recently caught six queen c. Novaeboracensis, so, if any wants a queen and lives in Manitoba private message me and we can organize something.
Also for some reason I haven’t been able to post a new topic, do any of you now why that is?

I now have two C. albosparsus colonies with about 8 workers. I would probably sell one of them.
And also I wonder if any of you had actually noticed that the title says Welcome back to the Camponotus Crew because this is a new thread.

Did the two pics load?

I caught one Camponotus queen but it died when I move them to the outworld too early. Only 8 workers and some brood are left. Trying to find another Camponotus queen.

Hello! I recently got two Camponotus colonies one Modoc with two workers and a hyatti with workers arriving soon. Both are really great! I gave the Modoc colony a small piece of cotton dowsed in sugar water and they loved it. I also saw them doing trofulaxis really amazing stuff.
Camponotus Modoc: 3 workers
Camponotus Hyatti: 3 workers
Camponotus Hyatti: 3 workers

What exactly is the Camponotus crew?
(I've got a Camponotus colony and a couple queens!)

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many cool ants right were you live!
I strongly disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not in your area.
