So i have an incident, like 5 days ago...my camponotous test tube fall of because my cat,i manage to save the queen but eggs are missing...and after that move her to safe test tube...and she seem's not interested in laying egg's and she want to escape (she is in the side of water cotton in the past 2 day's)...what should i do in this situation?SYUTEO wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 1:48 amMaybe the fumes suffocated her and when she clams down, she may be in an 'ant coma' before passing away.cosmo1190 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 1:30 ami will keep them i think, queen is acting bizzare since i take her out of "glue fume outworld",she looks very stressed though she is a bit calmer after i moved her...and then she just diedSYUTEO wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 1:18 am
You can continue keeping them until they die, release them back into the wild or introduce a new queen to them (there is a chance that the workers will reject her and kill her). You can also choose to freeze them since the will die eventually unless a new queen is introduced to them.
and by the way can i ask you more question?
Go ahead then.

Re: Queen Died
I only read the first post so I will give my opinion accordingly.
It could be due to the glue fumes which stressed them or even "poisoned" them or their water and food. However it also is possible that the queen just died because. Sometimes queens just randomly die without any signs or traces for why. So that is also a possibility.

Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
